App 28/60: Wedding Plan

Simitless helps the bride and groom plan their big day.

Your mind is made up. You are sure you have found the one. You want to scream your happiness from the rooftops but decide that throwing a huge party inviting all your family and friends would do just fine instead. But as the wedding plans start taking proper shape, you realize that all this information no longer fits on that small piece of napkin graciously provided by the restaurant where you popped the question and started collecting the ideas for organizing the giant party.

While you are trying to figure out the best course of action in this situation, you can’t get the old wedding saying out of your head, “Something old, something new…”. Something new, exactly what you need! A new app, or, to be more precise, a wedding plan management application, brought to you by Simitless. What better way to avoid errors and oversights in the management of your big day than by centralizing your information in a collaborative and secure application? Give yourself and your partner that much-needed peace of mind and the ability to work efficiently on keeping everything on track, without stepping on each other's toes.

Consult the application model, then click the " Use this model" button to create your own copy of the app. Simitless is a system that adapts to your needs. Plus, it is risk-free. To save your progress, think of creating an account by following the instructions on the green buttons!

The first section of the app allows you to define a list of potential guests. The record that you are going to create with the button will allow you to collect and centralize all the information relating to each guest. For example, inputting their name would make a good start. A checkbox gives you a choice of whether you are 100% certain you want to invite said guest, or whether you’d rather place them on the waiting list. The same record allows you to input additional information about the guest, like their home address, to send your wedding invitation (and letters of thanks later on) directly to their mailbox, as well as to track other kinds of information such as if the guest has confirmed their coming, if there is a room booked for them and at which table they will be seated.

The second section allows you to list (and compare!) possible wedding locations in order to help you decide on the best suited spot. Thus, on the one hand, Simitless provides you with a map so that you can actually see where the different spots you’ve selected are located geographically and which one of the said spots would fit your planning better. On the other hand, Simitless disposes of an image gallery, by means of which you could project and visualize your own party/arrangements/decoration in the spot of your choosing. Other information fields include a field for the cost, a button to indicate the confirmation status of the reservation and a small notes field to help you anticipate any eventuality, to guide your thinking process and to explain (if not justify) your choices.

The third section ushers in more important and financially weighty elements, like your orders, suppliers, etc. For example, the list of suppliers allows you to track orders by product and ensure their delivery status.

Finally, the fourth section allows you to plan, book, organize and manage the activities of the day in a neat calendar.

This simple little wedding management app gets you started quickly and easily. But it doesn’t end there. You can effortlessly refine the app by adding fields to forms or even entire sections of new information fields. For example, the activity schedule could contain a link to the suppliers and entertainers taking an active part in ensuring that everything runs smoothly for any given activity.

With that, let us at Simitless wish you good luck in organizing your day, and above all, best wishes for the future!
