Start configuring your application by first clicking the title of the "Department" field, then go on and " Edit data type", and finally find the "Manage selectable values" list at the bottom of the configuration page. This is where you can edit, rename, rearrange, in short, manage the values to make them reflect the organizational structure of your business. In other words, you can either delete existing values that are not useful to you, or add supplementary ones that you feel are lacking. You can assign a color for each value, representing a department, to visually aid you with identifying the individual departments on the chart at a glance.
Let’s return to the main screen . Having detailed the structure of your organization by adding/deleting the departments within your company, you can start populating your app with the actual data by either creating a record per employee or importing an existing list using the button. Each employee record is constituted by the employee’s name, job title, department and a link that redirects to the record of the employee’s manager.
Et voilà, in just a few simple clicks, you have an organization chart that reflects your company’s inner structure, elucidating all the dependencies between the departments and the employees, thus facilitating the collaboration efforts between your workers.
